ABOUT US
‘Helping to improve lives and wellbeing through the arts’
The Jan Parnham Trust is a registered charity with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (registration number: 1213033). The trust runs Long Acre Arts - a community arts and wellbeing venue in Bingham, Nottinghamshire. We were incorporated as a charity in April 2025.
Jan Parnham, our founding member donated the re-furbished building to fulfil her vision of a community arts centre for the people of Bingham. The trust is named in her honour.
Our aims are to:
Provide and run a community arts venue that fosters appreciation of the arts, promotes wellbeing and encourages participation in the arts and creativity.
Encourage people to participate in the arts, enhancing quality of life, provide meaningful activity and enhance social cohesion and welfare.
Create a venue which other groups and clubs can hire at affordable rates where those clubs’ aims also encourage participation in the arts and social welfare.
Provide a safe and collaborative space bringing together creative people and the wider community together.
Ensuring that we make provision for people who might have barriers to inclusion by reason of youth, age, infirmity or disability, social or economic circumstances, or other reasons.
