Well-known Nottingham artist Sue Sareen MA will be joining Long Acre studios on Sunday 14th September for a day, where she will be introducing beginners to the delights and fun to be found when painting in watercolours.
Students will be working along with Sue, painting a simple landscape, looking at tone and colour and later painting an exotic flower and exploring new techniques in watercolour painting.
A list of required equipment to bring will be provided in advance of the workshop.
About Sue Sareen
Sue comes originally from Merseyside. She exhibits widely, is an internationally recognised artist and has won many awards for her work. Her paintings are figurative, and always in her paintings there is a strong sense of intimacy with the subject matter. She is the author of “Watercolour Painting Techniques” (Batsford Ltd) and of two painting DVDs “Colour and Light in Everyday Objects” and “Watercolour techniques”. She has frequently contributed articles to the “Artist and Illustrator”, “Leisure painter,” and “The Artist” magazines.
In addition, Sue has frequently demonstrated and run workshops for Art Societies and other organisations.
