Radcliffe and Bingham Chess Club

For over 40 years Radcliffe and Bingham Chess Club has been playing at premises in Radcliffe on Trent. On the last Monday in January we will be holding our regular club night at Long Acre Arts with a view to this potentially becoming our new long-term home.

The first hour of the evening, 6.15pm-7.15pm, will be dedicated to our Junior chess club. This caters for children and young people of all levels of ability and experience up to the age of 15 and includes coaching by experienced tutors. From 7.15pm-10.00pm we will be holding our regular club night for adult members and any youngsters who, with parental permission, wish to stay on.

As this is a ‘trial’ event for our club at Long Acre Arts, there will be no charge for local residents, young or not-so-young, who wish to come along and play a sociable game of ‘The Sport of Kings’.

In 2024 we were the proud winners of the English Chess Federation’s ‘Small Club of the Year’ Award. Please see our website radcliffeandbinghamchessclub.org.uk for more information on our friendly and enthusiastic club.
